MATERIA is a body of work made on outdated photographic paper that has already lived through
decades before meeting the present image. The photographs emerge through the paper’s instability,
where silver, surface, and time shape what becomes visible.
Beginning with two portraits taken roughly a decade apart, the project expanded through quiet
encounters with people and spaces. Forms appear and recede, and each image holds the tension
between presence and disappearance.
Works from MATERIA were firstly presented at the personal exhibition
at Ex Nihilo gallery in Copenhagen in September 2025.
